The three-year marketing director of Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc. has been selected as CEO of Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield.
Gloria Roling started working in the position today, succeeding 11-year executive officer Matt Morrow. Morrow
resigned the top post Nov. 15 and began working Dec. 3 as executive vice president of the Alabama-based Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders.
"Matt has a great structure here. Obviously, I'll adhere to that structure," Roling said, citing member engagement and community awareness as her top priorities.
Roling, who left Springfield architecture firm Esterly, Schneider & Associates on Dec. 28, said she previously worked as business development manager for Walton Construction Co. and as program coordinator for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Springfield initiative. While working for the chamber, Roling was named a

Fourteen people applied for the position. The application deadline to succeed Morrow was Nov. 9, and a selection committee conducted interviews with the top applicants through Thanksgiving. The HBA board was expected to approve the new CEO at its Dec. 11 meeting, according to
