Sam Bradley of Sam Bradley Homes will donate his services to build the home on lot 48 in Lions Gate subdivision, south of Springfield. Developer Stu Stenger donated the lot for the project.
The HBA estimates the home should appraise for between $350,000 and $375,000. At one and a half stories, the French Country style house should range from 2,500 to 3,000 square feet.
The home’s design is women-centric, according to Bradley’s application for the project. Bradley says research shows women dominate the homebuyer market now. The Dream Home will include four areas that women identify as important: storage, entertaining, flexible space and places to relax, he said.
The home would likely include green features as well, Bradley said.
The kickoff event for the 2009 home will be the annual Bricks & Sticks luncheon 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Sept. 18 at a to-be-determined location. HBA members interested in participating in the 2009 project can contact the Springfield HBA at (417) 881-3711 or cruth@springfieldhba.com.[[In-content Ad]]
