The Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield has posted an opening for its highest staff position.
The post was left open by the April 5 exit of Gloria Roling, said HBA Operations Manager Charlyce Ruth, who said she wasn't aware why Roling left her role three months after accepting the position.
HBA board President Brett Godfrey did not return calls for comment.
Ruth said the local HBA staff is working closely with the board to manage the operations of the organization as it searches for a new leader. An interim CEO hasn't been named.
The job posting, available at
SpringfieldChamber.com, requests applications by May 1. The posting also was made to the National Association of Home Builders, Ruth said.
According to the posting, the CEO of the local HBA is responsible for acting as spokesperson of the organization and its members, managing administrative operations and coordinating advocacy efforts.
Roling began working as CEO of the local HBA on Jan. 2. The three-year marketing director of Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc. succeeded 11-year CEO Matt Morrow, who resigned after he accepted the post of executive vice president for the Alabama-based Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders, according to
