Hawthorn Bank filled the southwest region president position recently vacated by Scott Franklin.
David Turner, president, CEO and chairman for the Jefferson City-based banking company, said Hawthorn Bank chose to promote Clint Caffey to the executive role.
Formerly a commercial lender for Hawthorn Bank in Springfield, Caffey now leads the company’s Springfield and Branson markets. Franklin, who
started April 3 as CEO of manufacturer United Poly Systems LLC, said the southwest Missouri region for Hawthorn comprises $2.5 million in revenue and $120 million in loans.
“We always like to promote from within if we can,” Turner said of Caffey. “He certainly has the qualifications to take over the position.”
Caffey’s
LinkedIn page indicates he’s been with Hawthorn Bank most recently for two years after a nearly three-year stint as senior vice president for Simmons Bank. He previously was a vice president for Hawthorn 2007-2012 and also has past experience at U.S. Bank, according to his profile.
Turner said Hawthorn Bank did not open the southwest region role to outside candidates.
“We already had someone internally,” he said.
