Hawley co-sponsors bill to ban TikTok from government phones

Sens. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri, and Rick Scott, R-Florida, introduced legislation to block the use of TikTok on government-issued work phones.

Hawley said TikTok's owner, China-based ByteDance, “is required by law to share user data with Beijing."

The State Department, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense and Transportation Security Administration already have implemented bans on TikTok.
