Hawaii legislators are considering a bill that would phase out cigarettes.
The bill calls for raising the legal age to purchase cigarettes to 30 by next year. It would raise by 10 years each year and hit 100 by 2024.
Hawaii already has one of the most restrictive policies on cigarettes. In 2016, it became the first state to raise the buying age to 21.
