Hasbro's net income rises

U.S. toymaker Hasbro Inc. posted first-quarter net income of $68.6 million, up from $48.8 million a year earlier.

Revenue rose 2.2 percent to $849.7 million.

Officials cited higher demand for Nerf and "Transformers" toys.
