Hasbro sales, profits beat estimates

Hasbro reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue and earnings as demand increased for its Disney Princess and “Frozen” dolls.

Revenue rose 11.2 percent to $1.6 billion, which was above analysts’ expectations of $1.5 billion.

Net income moved up to $192.7 milli8on from $175.8 million a year earlier. Excluding certain items, the company earned $1.64 per share. Analysts on average had expected $1.12.
