Hasbro beats the street in 1Q

Hasbro Inc. posted better-than-expected revenue and profit in its first quarter.

The comapny posted profits of $26.7 million, or 21 cents a share, comapred to $32.1 million, or 24 cents share a year earlier.

Revenue grew 5 perent to $713.5 million, according to Dow Jones Newswires.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had projected earnings of 8 cents on revenue of $660.3 million.
