Harvey Weinstein ousted from his own company

Harvey Weinstein was ousted from the independent film company he co-founded.

The Weinstein Co. Board of Directors voted to remove him over a sexual harassment scandal.

The act leaves control of the company in the hands of his brother, Bob Weinstein, and Chief Operating Officer David Glasser.

The New York Times recently posted an article documenting decades of legal settlements over sexual harassment allegations by former employees and associates. Havey Weinstein also has been accused of making improper sexual advances toward actress Ashley Judd.
