Harvard University officials yesterday said the school would not take $8.6 million in coronavirus relief funds, despite earlier saying that it would.
President Donald Trump, who signed an order issuing the funds to Harvard and other schools, has called for the university to pay the money back.
Harvard had said 100% of the funds would be given to students "facing urgent financial needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic." However, that decision was reversed on Wednesday.
