Harter House

Springfield real estate holding company ICT LLC will own this new 24,000-square-foot building to be leased to Harter House/Eastgate Inc. MoDoCo Inc. is the general contractor for the project, and Bates & Associates Inc. is the architect. Engineers are Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; Security Design Group, structural; and Bernard Engineering Co., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. According to a building permit filed with the city of Springfield, the estimated cost of construction is $1.14 million.

The Eastgate store will be Harter House’s second location in Springfield. With completion expected in the spring, the Eastgate Harter House will be co-owned by Randy and Kathy Richards, and Kathy’s mother, Barbara Bettlach, who, with her late husband, Jerry, bought Harter House Old Fashioned Butcher Shop on West Sunshine in 1973.
