Harmony House is seeking to fill its soon-to-be-vacant top position.
Current Executive Director Patty Ingle, who accepted the job in December after serving in the interim since September, will leave Harmony House May 8 to take a director of development position at Missouri State University, said Harmony House board Chairman Chris Ollis.
"We're really sad to see her go, but it's a pretty phenomenal opportunity for her," said Ollis, senior portfolio manager and vice president of U.S. Bank Private Client Group.
Ingle would bring to MSU some 30 years of business development experience, with past work including director of major events for Southwest Baptist University and senior development officer for Missouri University of Science & Technology.
At Harmony House, Ingle succeeded four-year Director Rodney Dwyer, who vacated the position and now works for Springfield-based Capstone Cos., according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
The Springfield-based domestic violence resource center has posted the job opening on its
website and is seeking applicants before a May 9 deadline, Ollis said.
"We really are looking for someone that has the combination of executive leadership experience and a passion for the domestic violence (field)," he said.
Ollis said the board hopes to interview candidates within two weeks following the deadline and have the new director in place by the second week of June.[[In-content Ad]]
