Harley-Davidson CEO to retire; COO to replace him

Harley-Davidson Inc. is promoting from within to replace President and CEO Keith Wandell, who announced he is retiring May 1.

According to the Central Penn Business Journal, Matt Levatich, who's currently president and COO of the company, was named by the board to replace Wandell as chief executive.

Levatich, 50, joined Harley-Davidson in 1994 and became president and COO in May 2009. Wandell, 65, became president and CEO in May 2009 and was named chairman in February 2012.
