Hanaway raises over $1.2 million in run for governor

Former U.S. Attorney and Husch Blackwell LLP partner Catherine Hanaway has raised $1.26 million for her bid for the governor’s office.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, about half of the sum was a contribution by retired St. Louis financier Rex Sinquefield that Hanaway, a Republican, received Wednesday.

On the Democratic side, only state Attorney General Chris Koster has announced candidacy. St. Louis Public Radio reports Koster’s campaign has raised $2.6 million.
