A grand opening celebration will be held 5–7 p.m. Tuesday in Lewisville, a suburb of Dallas.
The Hamras opened the property as a Baymont Inn in October 2001 and began converting it to a Holiday Inn Express in June 2006.
The changeover brought new carpet and window treatments, soft seating, a new lobby, new showerheads and rods, new breakfast room furniture and a new business center. Officials would not disclose the cost of the renovation.
The smoke-free hotel has 90 rooms, including 20 suites, eight king featured rooms with whirlpool tubs and 62 standard rooms. It employs 18, including General Manager Gene Smith and Sales Director Kathi Berry.
SJH Inns and its parent company, Hamra Enterprises, have headquarters in Springfield. Hamra Enterprises also encompasses Wendy’s of Missouri, which owns 24 Wendy’s restaurants in the state; Boston Bread LLC, which owns 16 Panera Bread Cafés in the Boston area; and Chicago Bread LLC, which has 29 Panera Bread Cafés in the Chicago area.[[In-content Ad]]
Dame Chiropractic LLC emerged as the new name of Harshman Chiropractic Clinic LLC with the purchase of the business; Leo Kim added a second venture, Keikeu LLC, to 14 Mill Market; and Mercy Springfield Communities opened its second primary care clinic in Ozark.
