Hamra Enterprises employee honored with Niagara Falls vacation

Longtime Hamra Enterprises employee Maryjo Kiser is headed to Niagara Falls on the company's dime to celebrate her tenure.

Maryjo Kiser, vice president of benefits and compensation for the Springfield-based company, is scheduled to take the trip this summer with her husband, according to a news release.

“Hamra Enterprises would not be the successful company we are today without Maryjo Kiser,” President and CEO Mike Hamra said in the release. “What makes us special are the people who choose to build their lives and careers with us, and we’re so happy to celebrate their dedication and service.”

Kiser was surprised by company officials with an all-expenses paid vacation to Niagara Falls.

"I’m proud to be a part of an organization that truly cares for its employees," she said in the release. "I’m grateful for this wonderful and surprising gift and can’t wait to send postcards from Niagara Falls."

Kiser started with the company in 1983 as a reports clerk. She joined its senior leadership team in 2000 as vice president of human resources.

Founded in 1975, Hamra Enterprises has more than 7,000 employees who manage Wendy's, Noodles & Co. and Panera Bread franchises, according to the release.
