A 260-room Embassy Suites Hotel, a 220-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel and a 120-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel will connect to an 80,000-square-foot convention center.
Construction is scheduled to begin in March.
The properties, managed by Springfield-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts LLC, will be a part of a 400-acre development that includes a Cabela’s, set to open in fall 2006.
The combination of the outdoor recreation superstore and Hammons’ project makes the development a hot tourist destination, said Hammons Hotels spokesperson Scott Tarwater.
“When it’s beneficial to both companies, it works well,” he said. “We have done some great projects with Bass Pro, and this will be another interesting development with Cabela’s because they have such a good name and good reputation.”
Cabela’s is based in Sidney, Neb.
Hammons Hotels built an Embassy Suites hotel in a joint venture with Bass Pro Shops in 1999 in Grapevine, Texas.
Hammons owns an Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Neb.
