Posted online
Springfield developer John Q. Hammons has opened a new Embassy Suites Hotel in St. Charles. The 12-story, 296-suite property has 5,200 square feet of meeting space to complement the adjoining 150,000-square-foot St. Charles Convention Center.

The all-suite hotel is owned by Hammons; the hotel and conference center are managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts Inc., according to a company news release.

The Embassy Suites Hotel is located off of U.S. Interstate 79, near St. Charles’ historic Main Street and offers easy access to the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport and Metrolink-St. Louis Light Rail Station.

Hammons cited a strong economy and exceptional civic leadership as two factors that have enabled St. Charles and the surrounding county to experience rapid growth.

Embassy Suites Hotel offers amenities for both business and leisure travelers. Each guest suite includes a private bedroom and a living room, two TVs, two telephones with data ports, high-speed Internet access, in-room safe boxes and a wet bar.

The hotel also has the Embassy Lounge, located in an open-garden atrium with a cascade and meandering water trails, and Caffeina’s Internet café. The hotel offers 24-hour room service, same-day dry cleaning and daily cooked-to-order breakfast. There is an indoor pool, a fitness center and a full-service spa.

John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts Inc. is an independent builder, owner and manager of full-service hotels, resorts and suites. The company has 62 hotels located near demand generators such as state capitals, universities, airports, corporate headquarters and office parks.
