Springfield-based Hammons Hotels and its owner, John Q. Hammons, opened their fifth North Carolina property – a $60 million, 308-suite hotel and adjoining convention center with 80,000 square feet of meeting space.
“The Charlotte-Concord area is exploding with growth and opportunity, and we’re proud to contribute to the ongoing development by bringing an all-suites hotel and convention center to the market,” Hammons said in a news release.
In October, the resort was named the official hotel of the nearby Lowe’s Motor Speedway. This week, more than 200 members of the media are staying at the resort as part of the speedway’s NASCAR Nextel Media Tour to kick off the racing season.
The hotel overlooks the Rocky River Golf Club course, also managed by Hammons Hotels. It features an Internet café, spa, open garden atrium, fitness center, indoor pool and sundeck.[[In-content Ad]]
