The 10-story Embassy Suites Murfreesboro Hotel & Conference Center, at 1200 Conference Center Blvd. in Murfreesboro, has 238 rooms and 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space, according to a news release. Springfield-based Hammons Hotels is the property manager, and company founder and CEO John Q. Hammons is owner.
The hotel features the 28,800-square-foot Mirabella Grand Ballroom, a Gateway Grille and a Caffeina’s Internet Café, the release said. Employing 225 full-time workers, the hotel is adjacent to a new lifestyle shopping center called The Avenue Murfreesboro, which has about 1 million square feet of restaurant and retail.
A grand opening event titled “An Elegant Evening” is scheduled Nov. 1. It will benefit Rutherford Books from Birth, a local nonprofit sponsoring organization for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which sends free books to children. The event will have fine dining, dancing and a program honoring state Rep. John D. Hood, who sponsored legislation in 2004 establishing the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation.[[In-content Ad]]
