Hammons Hotels converts two hotels to Marriott brand

Springfield-based John Q. Hammons Hotels Inc. has reflagged two of its properties as Marriott hotels, according to a company news release. |ret||ret||tab|

The Coral Springs Marriott Hotel, Golf Club & Convention Center in Florida and the Houston Hobby Marriott were rebranded in early July after undergoing renovations. |ret||ret||tab|

"There is a long history of successful partnerships between Marriott and John Q. Hammons Hotels," said John Q. Hammons, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of John Q. Hammons Hotels Inc. "Converting these hotels to Marriott properties further enhances this partnership and will prove beneficial for guests, the properties, John Q. Hammons Hotels and Marriott."|ret||ret||tab|

Formerly the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center Hobby Airport Houston, the Houston Hobby Marriott underwent an extensive $4.5 million renovation prior to the conversion. |ret||ret||tab|

Situated on the Tournament Players Club at the Heron Bay Golf Course, the Coral Springs Marriott Hotel, Golf Club & Convention Center was formerly the Radisson Resort Coral Springs. |ret||ret||tab|

Prior to the conversion, the 3-year-old hotel underwent renovations totaling $80,000. |ret||ret||tab|
