The four-year project has a price tag of nearly $10 million. The final phase, which cost $4 million, focused on improvements to the hotel’s 256 guest rooms, atrium and ballroom.
Renovations at the convention center include a new sound system and carpeting. The latest renovations for the Denver hotel include updated décor, landscaping improvements, new lighting and foliage for the atrium and new carpet, wall vinyl and artwork for the ballroom.
The hotel and adjoining convention center are owned and managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts LLC.
“We invest heavily in our properties to keep them fresh and competitive and do so in a timely manner,” said founder, chairman and CEO John Q. Hammons in a news release. The Holiday Inn Denver International Airport Hotel and John Q. Hammons Convention Center offer 70,000 square feet of meeting space.
The hotel’s full-service, on-site audio-visual, sales and catering department accommodates each group’s specialized needs and provides a full range of event-planning assistance.
John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts LLC has 64 hotels located near demand generators such as state capitals, universities and airports.
The Holiday Inn Denver International Airport Hotel and John Q. Hammons Convention Center are located at the intersection of Interstate 70 East and Chambers Road, seven minutes from the Denver International Airport and 10 minutes from local industries, museums and shopping centers. [[In-content Ad]]
Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
