The Embassy Suites Hotel Loveland and the convention center will be owned by Hammons and will be managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels Inc.
Construction of the hotel and convention center is slated to begin in 2005, followed by the grand opening in 2006.
The new development marks the fourth full-service hotel Hammons has built along the Colorado front range, and it complements the company's portfolio of almost 60 hotels.
"Loveland is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in the country, representing a prime area poised for attracting the tourism and meetings segments," said Hammons, who is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of John Q. Hammons Hotels Inc.
Convenient access to the adjoining 80,000-square-foot convention center and the more than 8,000 square feet of functional hotel meeting space, including generously sized board rooms, will accommodate a variety of events from weddings and celebrations to corporate meetings and conferences. The hotel also offers a restaurant and lounge, and hotel staff can provide a full-range of event planning assistance and catering.
