David Gordon Green’s “Halloween" brought in a record opening at the box office for the movie franchise.
The film, a director sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 classic, scared up $26 million during its opening weekend.
The film now follows "It" as the second-best start for an R-rated horror film. "It" launched with $123 million.
