Hallmark to split in three

Kansas City-based Hallmark Cards Inc. is creating three independently operating business entities from its former Hallmark North America organization. The move, officials say, is designed to increase its focus in distinct areas.

The three businesses are Hallmark Greetings, Hallmark Home and Gifts and Hallmark Retail. Each will be led by a separate president.

Hallmark Cards reported revenue of $3.8 billion for 2014, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
