Kansas City-based Hallmark Cards Inc. has reduced its workforce through layoffs and voluntary buyouts.
Hallmark declined to disclose the types of roles or total number of employees impacted. However, officials did say 38 employees were part of involuntary layoffs.
"Hallmark reduced the size of its headquarters-based office workforce recently as the company transforms its business to meet the changing needs of consumers and address current economic conditions," officials said in a statement to the Kansas City Business Journal.
