Hallmark Cards plans 120 layoffs

Hallmark Cards Inc. announced plans to lay off 120 employees, including 90 at its Kansas City headquarters.

Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Hallmark in January indicated it would cut 400 jobs. More than 60 people were laid off in 2019, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Hallmark officials said the company is investing more in e-commerce "as people shop and engage with brands differently."
