Hallmark Cards Inc. named the former Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City president to its board of directors.
After working at the Fed since 1982, Esther George retired in January.
"Having led at the highest levels of our economy during some of the most economically turbulent times, we believe Esther's experience, strategic skills, understanding of culture, values and the Kansas City community will be a great compliment to our board," said Don Hall Jr., Hallmark executive chair.
