Hailey Owens' stepfather indicted for child porn

Jeffrey Barfield, the stepfather of Hailey Owens, last week was indicted for child porn.

The 38-year-old is charged with sexual exploitation of minors. Court documents do not mention Owens, but say Barfield received and distributed material that “involved the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct," according to the Springfield News-Leader. The alleged conduct is said to have occurred between Jan. 1, 2012, and Sept. 22, 2016.

Owens was killed in February 2014 after she was abducted near her home by Craig Michael Wood.
