REvil, the Russian hacking group behind two major recent ransomware attacks, suddenly went offline early Tuesday.
It's unclear who made that happen. President Joe Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin days earlier to demand the country shut down ransomware groups targeting American companies.
REvil was responsible for a massive ransomware attack over the July 4 holiday, as well as an incident involving beef producer JBS, according to The New York Times.
