The Blitz Build project takes place at Highland Springs Country Club during the Price Cutter Charity Championship, which began today with qualifying rounds. Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtors has teamed with Habitat and tournament organizers to build the two-bedroom house.
Visitors are welcome to view the construction throughout the week and are invited to attend the last-nail ceremony at 3 p.m. Friday, when the house will be dedicated. House tours will be given Saturday and Sunday during the tournament.
On July 29, City Utilities and Howard House Movers will transport the house – a six-hour process – to the new Habitat subdivision, Legacy Trails, at 3788 N. Legacy Circle. It will be the first of 56 houses in the community, to be completed in 2011.
Builder Jason Stewart of Stewart Enterprises is leading the construction of the house.
