Billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott donated $436 million to Habitat for Humanity International and 84 of its U.S. affiliates.
It's the largest publicly disclosed donation from Scott since she pledged in 2019 to donate the majority of her wealth.
Habitat for Humanity plans to use the funds to build affordable housing, with a focus on communities of color.
