H Design Group appoints 3 to principal

Springfield-based architecture firm H Design Group LLC has promoted three of its employees to leadership roles in the company.

Matt Capen, Bryon Oster and Brad Samuels have been named principals, according to a news release. Principals own an undisclosed percentage of the company, Oster said via email.

"This strategic elevation of talent reflects our ongoing dedication to fostering a dynamic team of architects and designers who are not only passionate about their craft but also deeply committed to exceeding client expectations," said Rob Haik, founder and senior principal architect of H Design Group, in the release.

Capen has worked at the firm since 2004, Oster since 2011 and Samuels since 2015, according to the company's website. Senior principals at the company are Haik, Brent Stevens and Todd Bolin.

Additionally, H Design Group named Kate Whitaker and Brandon Smith as associates, joining previously promoted KJ Romine in the role.

H Design Group ranked No. 6 this year on Springfield Business Journal's list of the area's largest architectural firms. The company reported 17 architects and architects in training, seven licensed architects and 20 total staff for the list published March 18.
