Gummy bear giant to build first North American plant

International candy-maker Haribo selected Wisconsin for its first manufacturing plant in North America.

The $242 million project expected to create 400 jobs in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is projected to be completed by 2020.

The German company is best known for producing Gold Bear gummies.
