Guiness World Records officials were on hand at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Oct. 13 to document the loudest outdoor stadium, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
In the fourth quarter, Chiefs’ fan achieved 137.5 decibels, besting a world record of 136.6 set by Seattle Seahawks fans. The Chiefs went on to win the game against longtime rivals the Oakland Raiders, 24-7.
According to the Kansas City Chiefs, another world record might have been broken at the game when 49 planes flew over the stadium trailing pink smoke in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The flyover is in the process of being certified by Guiness as the largest flyover formation, according to KCChiefs.com.
