Third-quarter net income was $1.6 million, compared to $1.2 million in the same quarter last year, representing a 39 percent increase in quarterly earnings.
Assets increased to $51 million, or 11 percent, from Dec. 31, 2004, and loans totaled $49 million, a 12 percent jump from the end of last year.
Guaranty also announced its plan to repurchase 300,000 shares of common stock on Nov. 22. To date, the company has repurchased 230,984 shares at an average cost of $20.84.
Springfield-based Guaranty Bank operates seven bank branches and 20 automated teller machines in Greene and Christian counties. Guaranty Federal shares closed Oct. 19 at $26.96, compared to a 52-week low of $20.40.
