Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc. (Nasdaq: GFED) named the co-founder and CEO of Integrity Home Care Inc. to its board of directors.
Greg Horton, who also co-owns Integrity’s pharmacy company, becomes the ninth member of the board, according to Guaranty’s investor relations
website.
“Mr. Horton will be a valuable addition to the board due to his significant experience in leading a large service-based organization and his tenure in public accounting and management consulting,” Guaranty Bank President and CEO Shaun Burke said in a news release. “He has an in-depth understanding of Guaranty Bank’s market area and significant business and civic ties to the community.”

Jack of All Trades,” nonemployee members of the Guaranty board receive cash compensation of $750 per monthly board meeting attended, and fees for committee memberships or attendance at committee meetings range from $125 to $200 per meeting, plus stock options.
Prior to starting Integrity Home Care, Horton was a partner in accounting firm Whitlock, Selim & Keehn LLP.
He joins a board governing Guaranty’s nine branches in Greene and Christian Counties, $652.8 million in assets and $517.4 million in deposits.
In 2015, Guaranty posted earnings of $5.7 million, a 5.4 percent increase from 2014.
GFED shares closed yesterday at $15, compared to a 52-week range of $14.15 to $15.89.
