The office will open for business by Feb. 1 in the Center View Shopping Center, 1100 Spur Drive, according to Guaranty Bank President and CEO Shaun Burke.
Residential lending specialist Charity Cummings will run the office – she’ll be responsible for business development and customer service for Webster County and surrounding areas. Additional employees could be added in the future, Burke said.
Cummings has 10 years of mortgage and finance experience and previously worked for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She is a Marshfield resident.
“We think Marshfield is a dynamic community that is growing – it’s a natural expansion of our footprint in and around Springfield,” Burke said, adding that Guaranty also is considering a full-service bank in Marshfield.
This will be Guaranty’s third loan production office. In September, the bank opened offices in West Plains and Mountain Grove, which Burke said have had “tremendous success.” Guaranty also has built three full-service branches since 2004 and now has eight locations, in addition to 20 automated teller machines, in Greene and Christian counties.
Springfield-based Guaranty Bank is a subsidiary of Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ: GFED). Shares closed Tuesday at $28.51, compared to a 52-week range of $27.45 to $30.59.
