“We feel like there’s a sufficient number of people in those positions that we want to provide opportunities for them to get together,” said SMBA Executive Director Crista Hogan. She noted that invitations to participate were sent to the 38 corporate counsels listed in the SMBA database.
“Primarily, it gives them an opportunity to get to know each other – they could be great resources for each other on corporate legal issues,” Hogan said.
Duke McDonald, an attorney with city of Springfield law department, is chairman of the committee.
