Proceeds from the event, which is presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, will benefit the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, also known as The Tooth Truck, according to a news release from Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks.
The Tooth Truck is a primarily school-based mobile dental clinic that began operation July 8, 2002. Since then, more than 10,000 dental appointments valued at $2 million have been provided for at-risk children.
The Grin Iron Classic, its sponsors and supporters have raised more than $100,000 for The Tooth Truck during its first three years.
Tickets are available for $5 each at
participating O’Reilly Auto Parts stores, McDonald’s Restaurants, Price Cutter/ Smitty’s/Ramey Supermarkets and Ronald McDonald House. Tickets also will be available at the gate. For children under 6, admission is free.
Halftime festivities, presented by AireMaster, will feature the 135th Army Rock Band under the direction of Staff Sgt. Roger Kirchner.
Halftime activities will also feature dozens of cheerleaders, ages 4-13, from Springfield Elite All Star Cheer & Dance; the Text Bucks T-Shirt Toss; and a special activity provided by Cattlemen’s Barbecue Sauce.
Tours of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, concessions, commemorative programs and Grin Iron Classic T-shirts and hats will be available before, during and after the game.
