An analysis published in the Washington Post correlates embattled Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens’ efforts to beat his sex and legal scandals with President Donald Trump’s defense in similar matters.
Author Amber Phillips said Greitens placed blame everywhere but himself.
“It's the same playbook President Trump has used to defend himself in various legal and sex scandals, right down to language such as “witch hunt,” she writes. “Except for one very big difference: Trump has kept his job.”
As Greitens continued to fiercely fight allegations, she points out that even members of the Republican Party abandoned him and threatened impeachment. One state senator, Republican Rob Schaaf, even wrote a letter to Trump asking him to urge Greitens to resign.
“One potential lesson here is that politicians' defiance and outrage in the face of serious allegations is not always a winning strategy,” she concludes. “Even if it works for the president, it's not guaranteed to work for anyone else.”

You, the Washington Post, are simply hypocrites. Oh, and Donald Trump was a private citizen, as was Governor Greitens.
