Greitens urged to exit Senate race amid new abuse allegations

Candidates in Missouri’s race for U.S. Senate called on Eric Greitens to drop out over new abuse allegations.

His ex-wife, Sheena Greitens, said in a sworn affidavit in an ongoing child custody case that the former Missouri governor was physically abusive to her and their two children.

U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler, R-Harrisonville, Missouri Senate President Dave Schatz, state Attorney General Eric Schmitt, St. Louis attorney Mark McCloskey and U.S. Rep. Billy Long, R-Springfield, were among politicians who called for Greitens to step out of the race.
