Greitens calls special session on abortion

Gov. Eric Greitens is calling back lawmakers to focus on enacting regulations for abortion providers.

The governor also wants lawmakers to debate protections for religious anti-abortion organizations.

“I’m pro-life,” Greitens said, “and I believe that we need to defend life and promote a culture of life here in the state of Missouri.”

Lawmakers are headed back to Jefferson City next Monday.
