Greene County wages rise 9% in Q3 of 2022

Greene County's wages increased by 9% in the third quarter of 2022, according to the latest data on file with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

During the quarter, the average weekly wage in Greene County moved up to $1,055, according to a news release.

By percentage increase compared with the same quarter a year earlier, Greene County ranked No. 91 out of the 355 largest counties measured by the BLS.

Here are Missouri's largest counties, in order of third-quarter percent increase and wage growth rank nationally:
• St. Charles, $1,066, up 11.2%, No. 15;
• Clay, $1,143, up 10.9%, No. 21;
• St. Louis City (which operates as its own county), $1,404, up 9.3%, No. 80;
• Greene, $1,055, up 9%, No. 91;
• St. Louis County, $1,352, up 8.2%, No. 133;
• Jackson, $1,286, up 7.1%, No. 202; and
• Boone, $1,083, up 5.7%, No. 281.

Of the 355 largest U.S. counties, 345 recorded year-over-year increases in average weekly wages, according to the release.

Average weekly wages nationwide were up 6.7% to $1,334 in the third quarter.
