The Greene County Medical Examiner Office is in rare company with a new accreditation.
The office, which is led by Dr. Deiter Duff, on July 6 was accredited by The National Association of Medical Examiners, according to a news release. The Greene County office is one of two in Missouri with the designation, along with Jackson County, local officials say.
"We are grateful for the quality leadership and service that Dr. Duff provides as medical examiner, and we salute this latest achievement," Greene County Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon said in the release. "In each area, Greene County works to lead the way so citizens can have confidence and trust in local government."
The NAME accreditation recognizes excellence in forensic pathology and death investigation.
