The Greene County Commission appointed a committee of nine community leaders to help allocate $56.9 million in American Rescue Plant Act funds.
The advisory committee will work with the county's ARPA team, led by Lyle Foster, to develop the review and approval process for funding applications, according to a news release.
The committee comprises:
• Candace Adams, emergency management retiree and educator;
• Kristoffer Barefield, attorney in juvenile courts;
• David Burton, county engagement specialist in community economic development for University of Missouri Extension;
• Bridget Dierks, vice president of programs for Community Foundation of the Ozarks Inc.;
• Rev. Saehee Duran, pastor at Life360 Intercultural Church;
• Keith Ray Mackie, owner of KRM Counseling and Consulting;
• Mark Maynard Sr., business consultant and retired educator;
• Justyn Pippins, small-business manager; and
• Jill Stoner, owner of Turners Station Mercantile.
“The County Commission is grateful for the many citizens who serve on our various boards and committees,” said Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon, in the release. “We are especially pleased to present the latest group of citizen public servants who have stepped forward to serve our community.”
The majority of the members also were part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act advisory council formed in 2020.
The commission has until 2024 to allocate the ARPA funds, according to the release.
The expanded facility is expected to reach annual revenue of $650M.
