The new bank will be at 1510 State Highway 248 and will feature a full-service lobby with safe deposit boxes, four drive-through lanes and an automated teller machine.
Metro Design and Construction Inc. is the general contractor for construction of the 2,500-square-foot building. Officials expect to open early next year.
Great Southern has two existing Branson locations, at 110 W. Hensley and 1729 W. Highway 76. The company also has a location in nearby Kimberling City.
Great Southern has 38 bank branches in southern and central Missouri and $2.4 billion in assets.
Shares of Great Southern Bancorp (Nasdaq: GSBC), the bank’s holding company, closed Wednesday at $25.48, compared to a 52-week range of $25.08 to $32.14.
