Great Southern Bancorp Inc., the holding company for Great Southern Bank, announced March 21 a 1.5-cent-per-share (12 percent) increase of its dividend for the first quarter of the calendar year ending Dec. 31, 2002.
This 14-cent per share dividend the 49th consecutive dividend since Great Southern converted to a public company in December 1989 will be payable April 12 to shareholders of record as of April 1.
The company also reported 69,549 shares of Great Southern Bancorp stock have been acquired by the company, through the buy-back plan which commenced Dec. 26, 2000, bringing total shares outstanding to 6,868,626.
In other news, the company announced the date for the upcoming annual shareholders meeting has been changed to 10 a.m. May 15 at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. The bank is publicly traded under "GSBC."
