Great Southern Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: GSBC) ended 2025 with a boost in net income.
The Springfield-based operator of Great Southern Bank reported fourth-quarter profits of $16.3 million, a 9.1% increase from approximately $15 million a year earlier, according to a news release. Diluted share earnings rose to $1.45 from $1.27 per share.
Additionally, Great Southern's net income for the full year came to roughly $71 million, an increase from $61.8 million in 2024.
"Our fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 results reflect the sustained success of our core banking operations and our commitment to long-term tangible book value appreciation, despite a volatile economic environment," President and CEO Joe Turner said in the release. "As we begin 2026, we remain focused on maintaining strong capital and liquidity positions, deploying capital thoughtfully, maintaining strong credit metrics and supporting our customers and communities."
As of Dec. 31, Great Southern's assets were $5.6 billion and deposits were $4.5 billion. The company has 89 branches in Missouri and five other states, as well as commercial lending offices in seven cities.
GSBC shares were trading at $67.27 as of 9:35 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $47.57 to $67.57 per share. The 52-week high was reached this morning.
